Post 132: Unspayed Male

There’s an old joke that goes something like this: Bobby: I know how to tell if a baby is a boy or a girl. Sally: How? Bobby: You lift up the blanket. If the baby has blue booties, it’s a boy. If the booties are pink, it’s a girl.

Sadly, puppies don’t come with booties.

Pure Bred Husky, 9 months Male (Sure)

I have a 9 month old Husky, Teemo, I bought from craigslist in [Elsewhere] since he was a puppy. Downsizing to an apartment and can no longer keep him. He is very active and curious, I walk him minimum once a day. He is friendly with other pets and people. He has all the shots taken, including rabies. Not spayed. Currently around 55lb and stands 19″. I’m selling him for $500 or best offer.

I certainly hope the person who buys Teemo isn’t surprised when the vet tells him the dog can’t be spayed. Just hope he can get his money back. Thanks, Ninjachow, for kicking off Pet Week on WTF Sparkyville!

  1. [Cory] Technically, the term “spay” can be used for either gender of dog in a medical sense.[/cory]

That said, I really doubt Sparky here has a veterinary background and just didn’t know what the more common term for “remove nuts” was. If he did, the dog would already have lacked them.
