Back in the old days, everyone talked about the Hero of our Town, Rod Iron. He was tough as nails, quick as a dropping anvil, and sweet as candy to old ladies and kids. Rod would ride around our town in a pick up with a patio set in the bed. When he finished doing good for the day, he’d park the pick up and set in the chairs in back, watching the sun set.
Then, one day, Rod Iron and his pick up with the patio set in the back rode off into the sunset. At least 169 people watched him go. And he was never seen again.
