Sparky, I thought we went over this before. The word is wrought, and it means shaped or worked. I see that the manufacturer does say this is “wrought iron”, I think they need to look it up, too. It may be constructed of pressed iron, but technically the definition of wrought is not this.
As a verb, it’s an archaic past tense of work. As an adjective, it means, and I quote, “worked.
elaborated; embellished. not rough or crude. produced or shaped by beating with a hammer, as iron or silver articles. Did someone beat this cage with a hammer? No, not likely. So take your cut-rate cages and peddle them where people don’t know how to spell Wrought.
Oh, wait. My mistake. That’s why this is on Craigslist. Carry on, then.

I went to T. S. International Inc. They spell wrought iron, “wrong iron”.
